We are looking to expand our growing team of sports betting writers in the UK and are recruiting for a Betting News Writer.

The role will suit anyone with a passion for sports as it will involve covering and reacting to breaking news stories in football, tennis, golf, boxing and darts.

The successful candidate will cover these stories with breaking news and also event previews. This may also include promotional content from our sponsorship partners.

It is a chance to become an established voice in the sports betting space and to also carve a niche and gain experience as a sport journalist working for a website which features highly in Google News.

The role requires evening and weekend work, as it is a position on our news desk and instant, up to the minute, reaction is necessary. The ideal candidate will work with the Head of News to identify daily stories and weekly content coverage plans.

A basic level of SEO and how it relates to news content is advantageous but full training will be provided.

Requirements:

• Proven experience writing content related to sports news
• Sports betting knowledge essential to the role
• Experience working with WordPress CMS
• Knowledge of on-page SEO and keyword tools such as Ahrefs is beneficial
• Fluent in English
